Porcelain veneers are one of the most popular of the cosmetic dentistry procedures which we perform in our Dental Office in Norwalk CT.
Veneers are versatile, they give fast results, and they offer many benefits.
Dental porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. They can fix a variety of flaws all at the same time, and thanks to the strong bonding material, patients can trust that their newly made-over teeth will be as strong and reliable as ever.
If you want smile like the stars, porcelain veneers are a simple option. Veneers are cosmetic dentistry procedure that can make an overwhelming difference in the appearance of your smile.
Veneers can be used to improve teeth that:
-
Have spaces between them
-
Have become chipped or broken
-
Are poorly shaped, unevenly sized teeth
-
Are slightly crooked
-
Are permanently stained
Porcelain Veneers Benefits
-
Your smile is perfectly bright and completely natural-looking. They are fully customizable to achieve the color and shape you want.
-
Porcelain veneers are color-stable. They are resistant to stains. they are an ideal option if you have teeth that don’t respond well to tooth whitening.
-
Porcelain veneers can act as “instant orthodontics”. Braces are not for everyone. They can be awkward, uncomfortable, and unsightly. If you don’t want to spend the time necessary to straighten your teeth through orthodontics, porcelain veneers may be an ideal solution to your cosmetic goals.
-
Porcelain veneers are durable. The strength of porcelain veneers is due to the way they are bonded to the teeth. You can care for your veneers just as you care for your normal teeth. Resistant to breaking and being scratched.
What is the Procedure Like?
-
Tooth preparation - This process allows us to roughen the surface of your natural tooth so the veneer will adhere properly.
-
Tooth shaping - Additionally, the doctor may need to minimize the natural tooth somewhat so that the porcelain ‘shell’ fits appropriately without jutting forward or adding bulk to your smile.
-
Temporary restoration placement - After the dentist places your temporary veneers, you’ll make an appointment to return once your permanent veneers are ready.
-
Adhesive bonding - At your subsequent appointment, the dentist will remove your temporary veneers, apply a strong adhesive to the porcelain veneers, and affix them carefully to your teeth.
Our doctors at Advanced Dental Center create veneers using CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology, which ensures top-quality results that are usually not offered at many dentist's offices.
We believe in top-rated craftsmanship, and would love to hear about your cosmetic goals.
